The new Dickey’s store will offer four weeks of fun, including free barbecue for a year for three lucky winners

 

(Kansas City, MO) Dickey’s Barbecue Pit will open the Kansas City area’s sixth location on 2510 NE Vivion Rd. this Thursday! The new barbecue restaurant will offer four weeks of specials and giveaways, including free barbecue for a year for three lucky guests (valid at the new location only). Guests can enter to win using hashtag #1FreeYearofBBQ on any social media page, by ordering online or signing up for the Big Yellow Cup Club to receive loyalty points and members-only specials.

“Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is growing rapidly in the Midwest,” says Roland Dickey, Jr., CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “We congratulate Owner/Operator Ryan Wenrich on opening his sixth location and Dickey’s 11th location in Missouri.”

 

Doors open this Thursday and guests can enjoy the grand opening events over the next four weeks:

Thirsty Thursdays – All guests will receive a free Big Yellow Cup with Dickey’s new reusable travel lid and straw.  The first 50 guests will receive a taste of Dickey’s butcher taco of the month, the Cuban taco.

 

Philanthropy Fridays – “You Give, We Give”, guests who donate to Dickey’s charitable foundation, Barbecue, Boots & Badges, will receive a gift card. Uniformed first responders also receive 50 percent off their meal.

 

Singer/Songwriter Saturdays – Enjoy live music from a local musician EK Bruhn.

 

Kids Eat Free All Day Every Sunday (with dine-in purchase of an adult meal)        

 

University of Kansas graduate Ryan Wenrich became a Dickeys Owner/Operator in 2010, after he and his brother left corporate jobs to go into business together. Since then, he has opened five more Dickey’s locations all over Kansas and Missouri, and will eventually operate 15 stores. “I am extremely excited about being in Kansas City to be a part of so much redevelopment in the area,” Wenrich says. “People around here know good barbecue when they taste it!”
