Published: 08 Jul 2014

(Plymouth, MN) In an effort to help with local flood relief, all Dickey’s Barbecue Pit locations in the Twin Cities area will be donating 5 percent of sales from Friday to Sunday to area flood relief.  On Friday, July 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Chairman Roland Dickey will be at the Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Plymouth handing out 100 free autographed copies of his new cookbook, Mr. Dickey’s Barbecue Cookbook.  This location will also be awarding one lucky guest free barbecue for a year.

“We’re excited Mr. Dickey is coming to town to help us with local flood relief efforts,” said local franchise owner, Tom Eggerud. “We have great customers and a wonderful community – we want to show them how much we appreciate their continued support by giving something back.”

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday July 11, radio personalities Mike Max from WCCO as well as Paul Koffy from Buzz’n will be on-site for merchandise giveaways and prizes.  Dickey’s Barbecue in Plymouth is located at 3195 Vicksburg Lane and the store phone number is 763-746-0029. All Twin Cities metro locations including Chaska, Maple Grove, Eagan, Shakopee, Savage, Eden Prairie, Burnsville, and Coon Rapids are participating in the giveback weekend.   Also, North Branch and St. Cloud will also be part of the flood relief program.

“Not only is Dickey’s dedicated to quality food at a great value,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., President and CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “We’re dedicated to being good neighbors in the communities we serve, which is why we are excited to help with flood relief efforts.”
